CommerceHook vs EventDock
EventDock is a webhook gateway: it receives events in your delivery path, queues and forwards them, and gives you an inspector over what passed through. The inspector part overlaps with us; the gateway part is a different product with different economics, and comparing the two honestly means saying so before any table.
The economics of the path
A gateway charges for standing between the platform and production, because that position carries responsibility. EventDock's Starter tier is $149 a month with 30-day retention; 90 days is on the $499 tier. CommerceHook keeps 90 days at $6 because it never takes that position: it is where you look at webhooks, not what delivers them. Neither price is wrong. They buy different things.
What we do that a gateway does not bother with
Gateways are platform-agnostic on principle, which means the
commerce edges are yours to handle. CommerceHook creates the
webhooks in your store from a panel (down to WooCommerce's
action.* hooks and Shopify's
GraphQL-only registration), verifies each platform's own signature
scheme, and links a delivery to the order, product or customer it
describes. If your webhooks come from a store, that is most of the
debugging workflow.

Choose plainly
- Use EventDock if you want one product to both carry production deliveries and show them to you, and the volume-based pricing fits.
- Use CommerceHook if the job is inspection and debugging of store webhooks, and you would rather keep production delivery direct (or with a dedicated gateway) than pay gateway prices to see payloads.
The free tier is the fair test: one endpoint, real deliveries, no card.
